AMY SANDERS
Orton-Gillingham Tutor in Gwinnett
ABOUT AMY SANDERS
Who Am I
As a mom of three children with learning differences, I know how hopeless it can feel to watch your child struggle and feel stupid. I have also experienced the joy of watching the lights turn on when they become empowered by finding a way to learn that works for them. I am Orton-Gillingham certified at the Academy Associate Level, continuing to work under the mentorship of a Fellow and am well-equipped to help your child begin to flourish. My job is to empower your child with the tools they need and hold hope for you on the days you feel discouraged. I would love to partner with your family.

Before working with Mrs. Amy, reading and spelling were excruciating. Now, I am rarely without a book in my hands. I'm currently in Honors Lit., which I never would have dreamed possible.
Former Student
Amy has tutored one of my children for over a year and another child for 4 months. Amy is not only a great tutor, but a gifted one. She has the ability to really "see" your child and what might be holding them back. Amy has not only poured a wealth of knowledge into my two children, but has taught them about perseverance, grit, and doing things when they are hard. She is compassionate and extends grace, while holding my children to the standard of which they are capable. Amy celebrates the big wins and truly embraces the individual journey that each of my children has been on. One of my children even mentioned that school has been easier. I could not recommend Amy more!
Parent of Student
Mrs. Amy is a fantastic teacher. She is patient, kind, but also good at setting boundaries to help you accomplish your goals. When my ADHD would kick in, she would help me to creatively channel my energy in ways that moved me forward instead of crushing me with discouragement. I cannot thank her enough for the ways she helped me.
